Troubleshooting Why an Employee Can’t Select an Asset

Step 1: Turning on the Asset on the cost code/task

1.   Note the name of the task in which the employee is unable to select an asset.

2.   In the Control Center, go to Settings > Tasks and locate and select that task.

3.   Select [Edit] on the right side of the screen.

4.   Enable the Track Asset toggle button. This allows users to select an asset with a task.

5.   Select the [Save] button.


 

Step 2: Creating an Asset user role

1.   In the Control Center, go to Settings > User Roles.

2.   Go to New > Asset.

3.   Complete the Asset Role Name field and Privileges section.

4.   Select the [Save] button.

Step 3: Assigning an Asset user role

1.   In the Control Center, go to Settings > Employee.

2.   Select the employee to whom you want to assign the Asset User Role.

3.   Select [Edit].

4.   In the Assets dropdown, select the user role you want to assign.

5.   Select [Save].

Step 4: Verifying Permissions in Permission Settings

1.   In the Control Center, go to Settings > Modules.

2.   Go to System > Permissions > “Profiles” tab.

3.   Select the profile assigned to the employee.

4.   From the menu on the left side, select Asset.

5.   Verify that either “All (existing and new)” is selected or the employee is selected under the “Choose” option.

6.   Select [Save].
