1. Name of overtime rule set. Note: You can have multiple overtime rule sets apply to employees, jobs, unions, and companies through your pay groups.
2. Set overtime rules to active/inactive status.
3. Overtime 1 is standard overtime while Overtime 2 is double overtime. Check the box next to each to enable the ruleset.
4. Daily overtime rule. To enable daily overtime, click the drop down and choose either Day or When 40 Hours. Note: if When 40 Hours is selected then daily overtime will not apply until employees hit 40 hours for the week. You can have When 40 Hours selected and a number in the Hours field next to it, and both will apply. If Day is selected from the dropdown, you will need to enter the hours an employee would need to work in a day before earning overtime. To enable daily double overtime, check the box for Day Starts After under Overtime 2 and enter the number of hours to work in a day before employees start earning double overtime.
5. Weekly overtime rule. To enable weekly overtime, check the box for Week Starts After under Overtime 1 and enter the number of hours to work in a week before employees start earning overtime. To enable weekly double overtime, check the box for Week Starts After under Overtime 2 and enter the number of hours to work in a week before employees start earning double overtime.
6. To enable overtime after working 7 consecutive days, check the box for 7th Consecutive Day Starts After under Overtime 1 and enter the number of hours to work on the 7th day before employees start earning overtime. Enter 0 if they earn overtime for the whole day. To enable double overtime after working 7 consecutive days, check the box for 7th Consecutive Day Starts After under Overtime 2 and enter the number of hours to work on the 7th day before employees start earning double overtime. Enter 0 if they get double overtime for the whole day.
7. Saturday overtime rule. To enable overtime for Saturday work, check the box for Saturday Starts After under Overtime 1 and enter the number of hours to work before employees start earning overtime. Enter 0 if they earn overtime for the whole day. To enable double overtime for Saturday work, check the box for Saturday Starts After under Overtime 2 and enter the number of hours to work before employees start earning double overtime. Enter 0 if they get double overtime for the whole day.
8. Sunday overtime rule. To enable overtime for Sunday work, check the box for Sunday Starts After under Overtime 1 and enter the number of hours to work before employees start earning overtime. Enter 0 if they get overtime for the whole day. To enable double overtime for Saturday work, check the box for Sunday Starts After under Overtime 2 and enter the number of hours to work before employees start earning double overtime. Enter 0 if they get double overtime for the whole day.
9. Make sure you select the Save tab to keep your Overtime Rules.
